The impetus for the PA 12th Congressional District blog is excessive government spending and taxation. Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize the citizens of the PA 12th Congressional District to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets.
A majority of Republicans in the House used common sense over the Tea party and the far right. The moderates in the GOP have shown conservatives and their cronies that they are not running things and that their shutdown tactic was a failure. The Tea Party has had to abandon their hard line on the sequester, budget caps, and user fees (taxes). This shows that Republicans know it cannot tread the far right waters and expect to win elections. Another bonus is now conservatives will either have to moderate or run candidates who are even more far right which will insure their defeat in 2014.
